Small businesses need your support!
Take a stand for small businesses and your community.
Small businesses give back (more) to your community
When you support a local business, you're also supporting your town, city, and neighborhood. Small businesses like ours pay sales taxes to the city and county they're located in. Shop at a big box business or an online company and that money isn't benefiting your community at all. Plus, the tax money that the local business is paying is used to support public schools, parks, roads, and sidewalks, as well as fund public service workers, like firefighters and first responders.
Small businesses make a major economic impact by providing jobs that become careers.
Since 1995, more than half of the U.S.'s jobs have been created by small businesses. According to the SBA, big businesses have eliminated 4 million jobs, while small businesses have added 8 million jobs since 1990. By shopping more at a local small business, you'll be adding to the potential for more job opportunities.
Small businesses provide better customer service
Small business owners strive to survive. One of the biggest advantages they have over large retailers or people working in a call center is the ability to provide more personable, hands-on, and memorable customer service. They build relationships with their customers and prioritize their happiness.
Small businesses provide unique products and experiences
Small business owners will go the extra mile to get you the product you want. They have the ability to do so because they can make decisions that don't lump you into a collective group dictated by shareholders or investment bankers. They will customize your experience to make sure you receive what you want. They will come in early and stay late to help out their customers because they know that building a relationship is a priority over building a bottom line.
